    Pat Gonzales Mixed Australian Pairs

    Tired of your skip always having the last bowl?  Think you can do better?  Well here is your chance to prove it.  Australian Pairs teams are truly equal partnerships, as skipping duties change hands from end to end, with an alternating 2-4-2 format.  Add to that quinnell scoring, and you get a truly unique experience.  Named after Champion bowler Pat Gonzales (a Long Beach club member), this tournament takes place on August 20th at the Long Beach Club.  There will be two greens, so you can pick your level of competition. Click here for more info.


    Cary-MacDonald coming to Long Beach

    On July 30 and 31, Long Beach hosts the Cary-MacDonald Pairs. Held over two days, this pairs competition attracts the top men's pairs teams in the SouthWest Division.

    Coast League

    The Long Beach teams went 6-2 this past weekend.  Team 1 won all 4 and kept pace with Newport 2, which also went 4-0.  Team 2 went 2-2, but the two wins were against teams they immediately trailed and are now tied with the Groves for fourth, only a game out of third..  Its looking to be a tight finish with 3 rounds left to play.  Complete Standings.

    US Open

    The premier Lawn Bowling tournament in the country is headed this way.  From September 17th to the 23rd, Long Beach and several other area clubs will play host to the United States Open of Lawn Bowling,  attracting top bowlers from all over the world to compete in three different events: Rinks, Pairs, and Singles.  Sign up soon to guaranteee entry into this event.  If you are not interested in competing you can still come by to see some of the best bowlers in the world compete.
